Galena Getaway Award Winners

Ready, Set, Fall into Galena Fun
This Galena bed and breakfast is always a step above a Galena Hotel or other lodging.   Here are some photos of the recent Labor Day Weekend.  The Bakers enjoyed playing pool while celebrating their first wedding anniversary, and frequent guests the Lautzenheisers were a great audience!  New guests the McFarlands joined us from Ohio and took advantage of the great Fall weather to relax on the front porch with a glass of wine.

The City of Galena has begun a summer promotion entitled Summer Savings.  Visitors who stay during the week can redeem their paid receipt for Galena Dollars at the Visitor Information Center.  That’s it!  Just stay any 2 weeknights between July 18 and September 1 2011.   Rebates are as follows:  2-night stay = $25; 3-night stay = $35!     What a fabulous chance to visit The Steamboat House.      Lower weekday rates PLUS a rebate from Galena.  Sounds like a plan!
