Rates and Length of Stay:

Check-in is between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Please call the innkeepers to arrange for a later check-in.

Check-out time is 11:00am.

Full Payment is taken at the time of reservation.

We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, and Steamboat House Gift Certificates. We can no longer accept Bed and gift cards effective 12/31/2017.


We are a small business and every reservation is important to us. If your plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please contact us at least 14 days prior to arrival.

A full refund will be returned for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival date, minus the cancellation fee.

If you must cancel a single reservation with less than a 14 day notice, shorten your stay, or leave early, please understand that we can only return the portion of your reservation that we are able to re-book. Cancellations for whole house bookings require 30 day notice and we can only refund the portion of the reservation that we are able to re-book.

A $50 cancellation fee applies to ALL cancellations.

Cleaning & Damage:

Any damage found in the room or to items in the room, we reserve the right to charge for replacement costs. We also reserve the right to assess a cleaning fee for any cleaning above and beyond normal usage.

In the event of a Winter Storm Warning affecting your travel, there will be no penalty for same day cancellations.


Illinois law prohibits smoking inside buildings, porches, or within 15 feet of windows and doors. For the comfort of our guests, smoking is permitted outside in designated areas.

Pets and Children:

We love pets and children, but CANNOT accommodate them.
